One thing fans of both (HD and Wii) sides need to realize is that if, when talking about console sales you make the idiotic claim "PS3 isn't competing with the Wii" then you should also argue that Wii games should not be compared to HD games when deciding their score.

If you make the opposite (sane) claim that they are, then you have to accept that Wii games are going to be compared to HD games.

It is rather unfair to compare Graphics for the 2 consoles, in my opinion. Wii will never be able to produce graphics on par with HD consoles. I see things that say "Best graphics for the Wii" and then they give the graphics score an 8. It makes no sense.

Doing that would be on par with a reviewer claiming an HD game has great controls, but knocking off 2 points for no motion/IR controls (arguably a much better setup than traditional pads.)

If Wii shooter's Graphics scores top out at 8, then Non-Wii Shooter's controls scores should top out at 8 as well.

Or

Reviewers should isolate each game and compare it to the goals of the developer, and how successful each game is for that particular system. They seem to do this well enough for HD consoles, in general ignoring when Motion Controls make the game much better, but not for wii, never ignoring the fact that the graphics aren't on par with HD consoles.

Just playing devils advacit here but don't forget Graphics would also take into account the art direction.   An area where the game lacks.

8 to me seems fair.  It's technically impressive but not artistically impressive.

But certainly some reviewers are just being HD snobs.
