Alright. So today, I'm thinkin' it would be nice to pop in my overused game of Fallout 3 and log some hours as my level 30 Devil Incarnate while bopping around in a swamp location. Sounds like fun. So I decide to pop the game in and I load up my character. I haven't played her in awhile, so I decided to take a quick moment to readjust myself to her playing style, blasting away mobs of... well everything with her Vegence gatling laser untill it struck me.
Where the hell is Point Lookout?
I look around on my world map, no new locations. I look around on my quest list, No new quests. So I'm thinking, ok this is wierd. I check my download history. Low and behold. Point lookout is there. I check my harddrive. It's already installed neatly in it's fallout 3 location. So where the heck did it go?
I'm currently in the process of re-downloading point lookout in what I believe to be a nigh-worthless endevour at this time. Bethesda's DLCs have been a long list of all bark and no bite when it comes to delievery. Out of 4 DLC's, I have had issues with 3 of them.
- The Pitt refused to run properly, textures and objects in the Pitt were messed up and the game was nigh unplayable. I had to redownload and reinstall to get it to work properly.
- Broken Steel messed up my achievements, requiring me to uninstall, perform a gamertag lookup and then redownload and reinstall.
- Point Lookout simply disappeared.
This is not a common occurance amongst DLC. Infact, I download DLC for a vast majority of my games. But only Bethesda's games have this issue. Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 have given me a immense amount of stress over getting their DLCs to actually work.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so. How did you fix it? Should I call up 4myxbox and get a refund?
