Paramount pictures to merge with SONY

Yes. Sony Pictures owns the rights to many movies, including Ghostbuster's, yet they all still go multiplatinum.

You can add spiderman, and resident evil to that along with 100 plus movies that have been released in video game form.

Sony only own a license for the Spiderman movie, Marvel still own the character and can license it to whoever they want to make game based on him . Except, obviously, if Marvel is owned by Sony (is it?). That go for Iron Man and X-Men too. Same thing for Resident Evil, owned by Capcom but licensed to Sony so they can make movie based on it until the license expire(and only movie, not game). In neither of these case do Sony have any say in where the game based on these properties go. Ghostbuster's on the other hand, they should but I am not sure if SCE is interested in making movie based game or if it have any say as to what Sony Picture do with the game license.
