Paradise probably sold better because the PS3 has yet to get a triple A racer, the 360 has Forza games.

 

 

What is with the 'thanks to Japan' comments? Is japan special? Do people say 'Thanks to the US' when a 360 game sells better? Unless a game is not released on a certain console in a certain region (like FF XIII) these comments are pointless.

Yes, in this case, Japan is special. The PS3 enjoys a 3:1 install base advantage vs. the 360 there, and games in Japan tend to be extremely front-loaded and have shit for legs, so I'd expect the 360 version of RE5 to show better legs worldwide and outsell the PS3 version in the long run.

So taking RE5 sales and extrapolating that to say that there's not an 8 million gap between the PS3 and 360 worldwide is quite a reach.
