It depends on what you mean. Yes, the critics review score may end up sub 70, but as of yet the user review score is 8.6 with nearly 6x the number of reviews, so I dunno if I would say average by most people's standards. However I fully agree with your second statement. If you enjoy a game, who cares if other people like it? Just play it and have fun.
