Alright I remember in 2006 hearing that the Wii was going to feature console friend codes instead of individual game friend codes. These console codes were supposed to replace individual game codes. This would have created a friend system much like X-Box Live where you'd simply add a friend and from then on be able to play with that friend in any game you wanted. But today in 2009 we still have no console friend codes. I just bought the Conduit and found adding all the friend codes is really annoying.

Not to mention adding everyones codes again and again on every new game is highly annoying. With features like WiiSpeak restricted to only friend code gameplay and many games like AnimalCrossing requiring individual friend codes for basic play functionality.

So my question has to be, will we ever see console friend codes on Wii or the next console. Or will we always have to add friend codes game by game!
