wow I did not know that their games scored so well.
Rare is STILL a great developer. I don't know how you can say something different. Check the games above, they did not release one high-budget game in the past 7 years or whatever.
Would you say Guerilla Games is a great developer, because they did a pretty good job with Killzone2? Sure, K2 scored well and has great graphics, but you have to keep in mind that this games was developed for almost 5 years and they had a budget that is rumored to be about 60 million USD. In this time and with this budget Rare created 5 games + DLC and the NXE.
I really want to see what Rare would be capable of with the right budget. So it is a good thing, that there is no game made by Rare in 2009. I really hope they will present us that one huge game for fall 2010 next year. With the right budget and development-time, I have absolutely NO doubts, that Rare will show us some great things.
So let's hope they are working on something besides Natal.

You have to consider that Rare has around 200 employees, compared to GG's 130, and the fact that GG are a very inexperienced developer, and in 5 years GG has produced 4 games, 1 was pretty average (Shellshock), 1 was good (KZ), 1 was great (KZ Liberation) and 1 was fantastic....
Anyway, Rare have done a good job mostly, though I would take a 90+ game and Liberation over many 80% ish games

I thought someone else made Liberation. It was horrible. Did you just call Killzone 1 "good"?

No, only GG are credited on it, and it was certainly not horrible, I really enjoyed it, and Killzone was a good game, it was expected to be a Halo killer and did not get anywhere near that, but it was still decent
