All in all, the breadth of content in this particular DLC is huge, considering the price, and the quality of other DLC for comparable games. 12 hours for 10 dollars is more than you get for most 60 dollar games today, and better quality as well.
Anyway, I thought this particular DLC was the best one yet. They are getting better and better.
I think this DLC is aimed at helping most people reach the new level cap, and that is a reward in and of itself. A major complaint in your review is lack of powerful new weapons.
They actually took the most powerful weapon out of the DLC because they wanted to avoid that game imbalancing pitfall. Your negative, is actually a positive to your overall save file.
The removed item(granpas fishing compaion, or somethin like that) was a named shotgun, and it unlockable via hack in the PC version, but was removed from the actual game. If that item wasn't removed, it would have been to the detriment of game balance, and could have ruined future DLC for some people.
