well i for one have been waiting for a card game that supports interactive technologies. Like in Yu-Gi-Oh! I know a ton of people waiting on holographic tech to lower it's cost. 4 million dollars for a 2d holo image is a bit pricey. |
Actually Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2007 on DS already has 3D monsters in their game. http://youtube.com/watch?v=h6c28CS50ls&mode=related&search=
The graphics aren't the best ever, but you also don't have to buy cards, because they are available in the game itself. It also has online play, and you can input your cards if you want. It's also a much deeper card game. In fact, I'd much rather pay $30 for that game after I read the rules of this one. The card game is just way too simple. Might as well play Tic Tac Toe.
It's great to know the quality of the software is good, but I don't think many strategy card game fans are going to be interested in this. It's obvious that Sony requested they make the game simple enough for casual gamers, but if you make it that simple you lose all the strategy.
In fact, if you are looking for a really good online card game I suggest you play Triple Triad (from FFVIII). There are a few websites out there with a very large and robust online system for the game. It's simple, fun, and strategic.
