Which part are you stuck on, there are only about 4 really tricky parts, 1 of which is made easy with a glitch. If you just use manual cover and a pistol most of the rest of the game should be fine

At the start I would use the Micro SMG, kill all those guys by just staying round the corner and taking them out as the reveal themselves, like he does, not using cover. Then move out, having got back your pistol, and take your time (use the higher cover) and make sure that you kill everyone waiting at the top for you that is going to shoot at you. His technique for going up the stairs is pretty good, I always had a problem with that guy round the corner to the left, and that bit can be tricky.

The next bit is quite tough, and I assume this is what your problem is. Follow what he does, but make sure you stay tight to the wall, but not in locked cover. Stay there until all the thread is gone, then you can advance, and use the crates if needed, follow what he does, but stay back more than he does.
