The Wii tried something different -- and instead of falling on its face it has changed the game. If you don't believe that, Project Natal and Sony's unnamed attachment are proof of this.

This tells you how much though the "hardcore games won't sell on the Wii" permeates people's thoughts -- I had no idea that CoD3 on Wii outsold the PS3 version. That alone shows that it made no financial sense for CoD4 not to be on the Wii (it was a technical decision -- which is fine).

There is a lot of hostility toward the Wii. The console is not targeted solely at males 18-34 -- which happens to be the demographic of the gaming "journalists."

So they all look for flops. And they all call for games on the Wii to be on other consoles instead when they don't flop (e.g., No More Heroes and Adam Sessler).

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
