All they added for Eternal Sonata was some VA for 2 characters that were now playable. Compared to what they are doing for the VA work being done on the ToV PS3 version that really is a walk in the park. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I'm not gettign my hopes up either. You need to also remember though that PS2 was the best selling console WW last gen and ToS sold like hotcakes in NA on Gamecube. Not bringing ToS over to PS2 made no sense. This is Namco though and they hardly ever make decisions that seem like no brainers to most of us. |
I agree with Soriku. Even Eternal Sonata got localized, there is no reason not to bring ToV to the western market. From what I read in some Japanese forum, ToV on PS3 will likely sell very well, MUCH better than Eternal Sonota. A lot of Japanese Tales fans will even buy it again because so many extra have been added to the PS3 version.
@OP. After reading your post, I went to look at the cover art of some Namco games (Japanese and NA versions). Eternal Sonata doesn't have "only on Xbox 360" sign (both versions), but the NA version of ToV has it!!!! OMG OMG OMG...... Now I am really concerned @_@ ToV may not get released in NA.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo
