I was reading about the comparison with Pilotwings and its totally true. The Aerial mode is like the spiritual successor to that game though much smaller in scope since you can only fly around the island. Luckily the island itself is very large. There is even a volcano you can enter in to through a cave and fly out of. One cool thing about this all is the controls. If you do a spiral you get a spped boost but it has to be done along a straight axis facing the screen for it to work. this is real tricky since you need to spin the Wiimote. Im doing it by cradling it one hand and spinning it quickly with the other, but even then it tilts ever so slightly.
