Atelier is not selling this much. The third one on ps2 sold about 40k, this one is on track for the same (based on numbers of other releases doing similar first day sales). It is sold out, which means the numbers will drop by a large margin. Remember, this is not the US, this is Japan, where alot of people sell back the games very quickly and the used market is HUGE. It cannibalizes sales FAR more than in the US. I expect 8k for week 2, 4k week 3, and much lower week 4 (maybe 1.5k). So I spose about 45-50k total.
VC got good sales eventually, but it took a hell of alot to get it there. Not taking away from it, but it does not follow the typical example of most rpg advertisement this gen. Few got that much publicity
