It tracks your movements really well along 3 axis. You have to angle it in the right direction to block an attack. And you can angle it forward or back too though I dont think this has any particular effect. it just looks cool. Anyhow if you move around it still tracks you from the center so you cant move the Mii with respect to the screen. You only control the motion of the sword.
