Yep, next gen consoles only, which have the major hardcore RPG franchises.

That's arguable...Dragon Quest IX and Pokemon are huge titles that are available on the DS. There's still some going to the PSP but there are a lot of remakes/ports (Persona, Star Ocean, Disgaea) or side stories (Crisis Core).
Also, both Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology games for the PSP outsold the ToV and the first Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology outsold Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

Dragon quests largest following was on the PS2 and ended there. Dragon Quest isn't a priority on the Wii, because the demographic are focused on non-hardcore games. Pokemon will be purchased by kids and still wont sell enough to be considered a threat any longer. Pokemon was huge when my generation was growing up. We're talking about the hardcore. 2 Million sold or more and growing by the core demographic.

Other than remakes, the last Dragon Quest was on the PS2. Remakes rarely sell as much as the originals. Also DQ9 is on the DS not the Wii. And it has yet to come out yet. ioi is predicting it to sell 2 million it's first week in Japan but that's not relevant?
Also, I'm talking about the Pokemon games. Not the Mystery Dungeon/Pokemon Ranger games. I'm referring to the actual main storyline Pokemon games.

Pokemon needs to stay on te DS if it wants to sell. Handhelds don't count though. I am glad that Pokemon sold well on a platform were it could be appreciated. The Wii is no place for any form of RPG to survive.
