When have they been anything but casual games? I guess the old school top down ones were hardcore, but the new 3D ones sure are.

The majority of the people who play only buy 2-3 games a year and buy the latest Madden and shooter title. It's the PS2 and Xbox casual audience. For some odd reason they became hardcore games when Wii Sports released.
