OK, you win. But I don't have Metroid, Mario or Smash Bros. in front of me that I can play, and the release dates keep slipping or at least being 'zoomed in' further away (i.e. "this year" -> "Q1 next year" -> "June next year" -> "20th Sept next year" -> "2nd March two years away". Today's "AW dated for Q1 2007" and this week's SSBB delay for example. |
I'm not disagreeing with that. I would love to have those games in front of me right now as well. I just think your expectations were too high. Nintendo has always been unreliable for release dates, but that's what allows them to release games with the kind of perfection and polish that has made them famous. If you are really running out of games to play I suggest looking at a few of the 3rd party DS games. There are some impressively good games on it. Sonic Rush for example feels a lot like classic 2D sonic. As well as Phoenix Wright of course.
Also, if you like the style of Nintendo first party games some games to keep an eye on for the Wii this year are Zack and Wiki, NiGHTS, Trauma Center (and New Blood, the sequel), and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2.
