I don't agree entirely. Make a good quality game on any platform and it'll be engrossing. The controls can help but other than Zelda, nothing comes to my mind that has sucked me in so far on the Wii.
On PS3 MGS4 sucked me in and to a lesser extent Killzone 2. On PC Fallout 3, CoD4 and Oblivion. If you make an engrossing game, the platform doesn't really matter.
