SMG is just about as close to a 'perfect storm' as you're going to get this holiday season. It will probably be the best looking and playing game the Wii has yet seen -- a title that truly could not be done on any other system. And it will be the first game since Wii Sports that doesn't feel like a port from the GameCube or PS2.
R&C may be good. Heck, it could even be great. But SMG will be upping people's expectations for platform titles this generation. It may not be the leap that was Mario 64 (and in this day and age, what could be?), but it will become the game that everyone else looks to copy from this point forward.
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.
