| shams said: The Wii was, and is always going to be behind the 360/PS3 - purely because of the lower resolution. There is no getting around this. But its an intentional decision on Nintendo's behalf, to trade off cost for fidelity (its no different from the comparison of a cheap DVD player/DVD vrs BluRay player/BluRay discs). |
Bunch of FUD. I have a 360, and was expecting to see all these great graphics people talk abount. It's not really much better than the Wii when all you have is a SD TV. Also, the better Wii games have better graphics than some of the lower quality graphics on the 360. A well written Wii game has better graphics than an ok 360 game.
You could say on average or even most of the time the 360/PS3 have better graphics, but not *always*.
The Wii can render at 640x480p, and there are some PS3 games that actually render at a lower horizontal res than that and upscale in hardware. Granted, it would be fairly rare for a port to all 3 systems for the wii to have the best graphics, but there are plenty of cases where an exclusive wii game has better graphics than a multi-platform PS3/360 game.
