WHEN did u give up on Nintendo?

I almost left them in the N64 era. I couldn't stand the extra level of 'kiddy' now that the mascots got some "character". Gameplay made up for it however so i somehow stuck with it. I'll probably never give up as long as ninty doesn't screw up their marios, zeldas, metroids.
