Activision is in no position to tell another company to cut the price of their product when they themselves charge more for old games such as cod4 than when the games launched.

Also, charging a human level for each of their cheap-as-hell-plastic guitars.

It's all about demand. If Activision wanted to sell more plastic guitars or games, they would cut prices, but it seems they're doing fine this way. We can't say the same about Sony which isn't selling enough... the only reason they didn't cut their prices earlier is that they're not profitable.

From a business perspective, Activision wants the same thing as Sony... more PS3s out there, and more PS3 games sold. Sony just has bigger concerns.

So you're voting that the PS3 won't get a pricedrop this year?

No, I think it will get a price cut, as Sony is targetting 13 million sold PS3s in the fiscal year (which is unlikely even with a price cut), and they're not expecting a profit. Both those things point to a price cut this year.

You crazy? IF PS3 drops to $299 soon they will easily ship 13million PS3s in this fiscal year.
