What exactly does it mean? I know the middle finger means "fuck you" is this basically that or is there something more to it? and if I stick my middle finger up in the UK would it be taken as an insult? or would I just be pointing at something?

It makes a V. a v for victory but it is insulting to the people on the other end. The last time i used it was not so long ago after having a scrap. I stuck my fingers up

IC, so there is actual meaning behind it - sort of an arrogant gesture to state that one is better than the other person, I like it :)
