| theRepublic said: Do we have a verdict on the difficulty of VT yet? That Amazon review makes it seem like it's so hard it's broken. |
The NintendoLife review makes no mention of it, but the Cheat Code Central review does:
"The A.I. controlling them works to provide a decent challenge overall, but there are some weird aspects to their play styles. Somehow, they virtually never whiff shots; to beat them, you have to lure them to a far corner of the court and hit the next shot to an area they can't get to. That's fair enough, considering they're professionals, but we'd have liked to see a little more human fallibility, at least in the lower-ranked opponents."
Doesn't sound as game-breaking as the user review, but it does sound like a real concern. There's apparently some kind of leveling system in the game, so it could be that beating the AI just demands that you train up your stats.
I didn't see any complaints about rickity online in either review.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing
