Like most other, i was also raised on the Nintendo home consoles and handhelds. The games available for Nintendo systems just interest me more than those available for other systems, and this goes beyond my love for almost all of Nintendo's franchises (Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Kirby, Starfox etc.).

I could stay with Nintendo consoles only and be happy, but that said, there are games for the other consoles that i wish to play as well. I have always owned a Nintendo console, but believe it or not i have also owned almost every other home console alongside it. With the NES and SNES i also owned a Master System and Genesis, with the N64 i had a PS1 and Sega Saturn, with the GC i had numerous PS2's and an XPhat. this gen, i have a Wii and an X360, the PS3 (and PSP for that matter) has yet to reveal enough games that interest me enough to warrent a purchase.

Yes, i have been around the block a few times, i've played a large number of games and owned a large number of consoles... which is why i despise total fanboyism. The mere thought of devoting yourself to one console solely and casting off the rest without a fair thought it completely absurd.

The reason i stay with Nintendo and well... 'prioritize' Nintendo software over the others is because every generation my Nintendo collection in the end simply outshines the others. Incidentally i don't own any previous generation consoles anymore (luckily i kept most of my XPhat games) barring the Nintendo ones, i wish to change this starting this gen as i am going to keep my X360.

Even though i admit to giving Nintendo software an unfair bias when it comes to purchasing games i have played and owned most of the so-called "best games" on the other consoles from previous generations but none have ever even made me budge a little away from the Nintendo consoles or given me a reason to prioritize them over Nintendo. Unfortunately I didn't click with a lot of well known, popular games including Ecco the Dolphin, Shinobi, Vectorman, Final Fantasy VII (best final fantasy ever, my ass), Tekken, Gran Turismo, Kingdom Hearts, Jak & Daxter and some others.

A lot of people stamp me as nothing more than a Nintendo fanboy even though most have little knowledge as to what the word actually means. Unlike many others, i acknowledge and applaud great games whether they are on my Nintendo consoles or not, and i encourage my friends to at least try those games if they have the console. I do not spout random bullshit about a game because it is of a specific series that i don't like.

Will i ever give up on Nintendo? Can't see it happening anytime soon, not since i get my quality games without fail every generation. Three cheers for great games :)
