What if you have something important to do and you have to leave, but you want to save immediately, without being near the check point? A save is a save.

then you leave the dungeon instantly and save. You weren't able to make it far enough up the tower to save inside it, but you can always leave the tower and save whenever you want.

Not that easy. Persona you have to run around and look for those small teleport pad things and in other games you simply cant do that unless you back track like crazy.

But there are items to instantly escape. If you really have to go there's a way, just going to cost a bit.
