But all these big 3rd party companies already have their own engine(which they put big money into) for the HD systems and a seperate one for the wii.
Wii to ps3 would be hard to do because they havent optimized their engines for such a task(probably no developer has because usually wii games are outsorced to another developer) and it would probably cost big money for it to even work. Also with the recession , companies would not want to venture into unmarked territory with all the risks and what not.
Bottom line is that wii will always be known as the motion control system as it has been engraved into the head of the consumer ,and developers know this. The market is just not there in both the HD systems.

Not necessarily. Just look at the Call of Duty engine, or what EA and Capcom are doing with Dead Space and Dead Rising. There are a number of engines that work across all three platforms.

Dead Rising:Chop till you Drop runs on the RE4 engine...
The dead space engine was made with getting into the middleware market in mind so they had to make the engine easier to port to other systems....
Remember the J man isnt saying it is impossible because these are big companies but even so they know where the market is with MC games and wont deviate from that market because of the times that we are in.
