This made me think, it would be unimaginably cool if Nintendo released a Classic Controller Advantage modeled after the NES Advantage.

I loved that controller. It mixed the feel of arcade cabinet style controls with the feel of an NES controller. It had just the right weight and the buttons had a nice feel to them when you pressed them. Plus it had turbo knobs so you could adjust the turbo to the optimal button spam rate for the given game.

Make note of the slow button. Pressing that caused it to press start repeatedly so if you were playing a game that simply froze the screen to pause. Of course that wouldn't work if you were playing a game with a pause menu, which became extremely common fairly quickly. But it was cool for the games it worked with.

The only drawback was that using a joystick for a digital control was a bit of a step back from the D-pad at the time. But it helped the controller feel right, so that can be forgiven.
