Gaming - Jrpg vs. wrpg - View Post

The major problem that most JRPG fans have with WRPG's is that the story isn't linear and that WRPG's lack emotion or seem "soulless". That problem has been more than answered by devs from Bioware, Obsidian and Bethesda. Not only do WRPG's have more consequences and player control, but the storylines are more interesting and can be maniuplated, while the player can enjoy the diversity of choice in what emotions they convey. For these reasons, WRPG's have found the answer to the major problem. The only draw back to a JRPG fans argument is that everything they like in JRPG's have nothing to do with RPG's to begin with.

With JRPG's the games value only comes in one play through, while WRPG's can be played numerous times to find new treasures only capable of being found by taking another moral path or class...because today with WRPG's anything about you can be either cause you to become hindered or pushed along in your search. Your choices are truly becoming more valuable today.

Speaking of the fall of JRPG's I wonder why JRPG fans are raving that Versus will be superior to FFXIII, because they took out the battle system, thus making it a full action-adventure game. Hmmmmm.... The wrold the world turns in mysterious ways.
