Look, it's Mr Newells opinion, if you google around you'll see that there are a lot of other developers who see the possibilities of the Cell and scientists who think ( & say ) that the Cell is a CPU-revolution and the x86 architecture will come to an end once programmers are used to the Cell architecture and the Cell is more optimized.
I'm not saying that Mr Newell is wrong and others are right, but currently there are a lot of different opinions out there, where the most of them are in the favor of the Cell.
So this topic is rather useless, it just reflects the current opinion of Mr Newell which can change completely every few months.
