I love boycotts, you know why? It's saying to everyone you're not going to buy something you never intended to buy in the first place. I don't like a majority of Ubisoft games, in fact for this gen I only own one game with their tag on the front and it's not even developed by them, but I don't go around saying how everyone should stop buying Ubisoft games cause if a million people buy a game I detest, then that means I have to convince those million people not to buy it again, for while 90% of the time they wouldn't listen, a majority are not even on the net in the forums, and could give two shits about my reasons as they obviously enjoy buying those games.

Well you are partially wrong - boycotts can work if they are park of huge media shitstorm - best example is EA DRM removal.

My statement is more of the general "boycott" in America.  Like there was supposed to be a gas boycott couple of years ago and it failed pretty hard obviously.  DRM itself is easy to get taken out since you buy a product you should be allowed to install it to as many computers as you want and not be spyed on to make sure you're not pirating your copy, it doesn't work and just makes people mad.
