Lol at that amazon review. Seems it's definitely Grand Slam tennis on that basis. Who would want to buy a game where it is impossible to defeat the computer and the online is problematic so effectively you can only enjoy local verus games?

Yeah, if that's true then it would also explain the lack of reviews.   Sega didn't send any review copies out knowing it was busted gameplay.

Also explains why they are selling for so much less than GST.   I've seen it for $36 (Amazon.ca)  to $45 compared to $54-$60 for GST.

For the amazon reviewer the big problem he found was the difficulty level. I dunno if others agree or not. Stupid people with the game are not reviewing it

Anyway, the same reviewer posted this in the comments section:

"Bottom line is Virtua is more realistic and has a faster place of play but is more difficult. Grand slam has appealing production and strategy. But to tell the truth when I play Virtua I have more of an "on the court" feeling and it's more true to life. I'd recommend any tennis fan to get both. As I've had them for 2 days now, Virtua's controls are becoming more intuitive and I find Virtua's true to life play drawing me in more than Grand Slam's cartoonish slower play."
