Guys really this law will never make it through the parliament so stop getting over yourselves. And some people are really talking about things they don't know anyhing about.
There IS freedom of speech in Germany and you can also say things that are unconstitutional as long as it isn't a Nazi-slogan.
Also Germany is a democratic country. Has there never been an American politician who had a bad idea?
There are loads of cases in which Germany is way more liberal than America. Think of abortion, same-sex unions, etc.
Additionally most laws have to be in line with EU standards anyways so that law wouldn't last long.
