...Do you think it will do poorly?

My reasoning for why it will perform under par of the Wii is that motion control won't be as much of a selling point since all 3 console manufacturers will have it by that time and people will eventually want to upgrade to HD graphics once they finally purchase a shiny new TV. People who have played Wii on an HDTV even with component cables knows that games look very bland with a lot of jaggies. As HD whores and technophiles become more common with the newer generations of gamers, people will start to demand "cooler" consoles. The Wii has been branded as "kiddy" many times over and this stigma will only get worse over time.

This.... is a technophile myth, falasy, idiocy. Only an enthusaist(broader term for the mindset) has ever believed this happens. no, there is over a hundred years of business proof that this does not happen(Kim Chan, Blue Ocean Strategy dates back company research of success to 1880). The mass market upgrades not because of enthuastic interest, but because the overall values migrate due to the value/price. A "people" will buy a lower end TV hapilly if the price is signifagantly lower. As LCD/HD technology cheapens and CRTs become more uncommon a migration of value cost happens. People do not become more enthuiastic. This direction seems to be your discussed topic. I can only assume that you may be an enthuast. Which is ok. I'm an enthuast towards PnP RPG, but that does not mean we should accept that our values towards a product are standard or will be adopted by the mass market.

The rest of your discussion unravels due to this directive approach.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
