Not really. M&S was at 594k at the end of 2009 compared to 686k for MGS4 at the same time (numbers from Famitsu Top 500 for year 2008). M&S isn't selling much right now. For the latter half of 2008 it sold only 33k. So MGS4 is probably out of its reach. Unless so cheap re-release would come out. But it still would be hard - MGS4 is getting cheap re-release next week.
