The PS3 is 7.8+ mil behind the 360. Some great exclusives have helped the PS3 pull relatively even weekly in hardware during these first 6 months of the year. Is this good for Sony considering the cost difference between the 360 and PS3 (matter of opinion)? Or is this good for MS considering that the 360 has still outsold the PS3 will little to no exclusive game releases (matter of opinion).
Both holiday line-ups are amazing and (depending on preference) cancel each other out.
As you have indicated a price-cut/slim model is needed in the Holiday, otherwise the 360 will dominate 2009's holiday season the same as it did in 2008. I am excited for exclusives on both consoles and will be picking up quality titles for both, but without a change is strategy for Sony, 360 increases the lead possibly another 1-3 million.
