In some respects, yes. The situation more directly translates (porting something to another format for increased sales), but I think my analogy gets at the heart of the issue more. There'd actually be a market for a more DD friendly Lotus (see: Evora), but whether there'd be many RHD Saleen sales is questionable. Likewise, L4D2 would probably sell pretty decently on the PS3. Also, the amount of work involved in making something like making an Elise more DD friendly more closely resembles the amount of work necessary to port L4D2, in my opinion. But, whatever, they're both pretty good analogies.
