This is how PS3 sales went in the previous fiscal year. Divided into three periods to make it easy: Period 1: April-October 2008 (pre-holiday): 5 million Without a price cut before the holidays, it's on target to sell 3-4 million in period 1 this year. Then it needs at least 9 million in periods 2 and 3 combined, compared to 5 million last year. That's an increase of exactly 80%, or almost doubling sales in the holiday period and Q1... Do you think a price cut, slim and GT5 in March (i.e. almost the end of the year) can do that?

lol no ofcourse not.
hmmmmmmm......then maybe they will cut price next month to get 60GB & 80GB's out of the circulation & then introduce the slim with a new marketing campaign
remember they actually did that in 2007, they had a price cut on the 60GB to get rid of the stock
if they did that would it be possible? Otherwise your right it seems less & less possible unless 0 GT fans have brought a PS3 so far
