In my opinion, the controls are as close as any mainstream video game has ever gotten.  There are expensive golf simulators that do better, but only if you want to schill out thousands of dollars.

As to exaggerating draws and fades, you can play some sick curves in the game that would just be a shank left or right if you tried forcing it like that in real life (unless you are an actual pro who can play a fade or draw).  Basically, it's still difficult, but not nearly as difficult as it would be in real life.  Does that answer your question?

I think so, thanks!

I was mainly asking to get an idea of whether the game would be recommended for a golfer who never played video games, since its realism is already  beyond my ability to tell how accurate it is.
