Hah, despite that review and how it sounds, I dont actually think it has an effect on your swing. I think the only differences in Advanced Swing mode are that you dont get the drag and drop auto draw/fade option, nor can you spin in the air, nor do you get a putt preview. Basically it takes most of the more arcadey elements out--I definitely disagree with that writer that its as hard or harder than real golf. The tone of the rest of that review makes it sound like he was just used to kicking ass in the older dual analog versions of Tiger Woods.
In that sense I definitely know where he's coming from too, I used to be able to shoot consistantly 15-20 under par on PS2 versions Tiger Woods. I doubt I'll ever shoot scores that good in this iteration.
