If we get a $100/100€ cut, it will most likely be to clear currect stock. I'm not sure if a slim model would actually be sold at a cheaper price than the console is sold right now, for it alone could increase sales, together with the momentum they would gain by clearing stock at $299/399€. A $50/50€ cut is the most we can get permanently.
