Now that I have read the whole blog from Malstrom, I want to add to things:
1. read noname2200's post. I have said that before, but it can't be said enough.
2. I think Malstrom is a bit of a douche here. Just because he doesn't like 3D Mario doesn't mean Nintendo shouldn't be making it. I mean, he says he doesn't like that games like Starfox or Pikmin 3 get delayed for it. However, it is the NSMBW team that is supposed to make Pikmin and making a 8 million selling game is probably more intelligent than making a 2 million selling game.
Also, his statement that making a 2D Mario is actually disruption lacks any reasoning.
