People need to stop comparing GT to Forza. The only place where GT was more advanced in the past was sales. Forza has always been the more realistic racer with more things to customize.

GT5's final release is rumored to finally have damage, as well as a nascar mode, so in these regards it may finally offer "more" than Forza, but at the same time the cars will not be as good looking as Forza 3's unless they update those as well before the game releases.

Who cares. I won't be playing either one unless they changed Forza 3 a lot. I hate realistic racing sims. I love arcade racers like the old Need for Speed games.

I was with you up until you started talking about the cars in Forza 3 looking better... then I just started laughing at you.

I guess that shows how little you know about the game.  And as I said, I left there to be room to change if PD updates their cars.  Right now there isn't even a contest as Forza 3 cars have like 20x the polygons.

And even then, Forza 3 will still have way more customization options, but that's obviously only for the truly hardcore.  I could care less about some really advanced custom tuning and I would have no idea how to do it.

Do you actually believe the cars are 1 million polygons each?

Even if they are, more polygons =/= better detail. It's all about how you use them. And 1 man works like a month on one car over at polyphony digital. That's a lot of detail.

Not only that but gt cars are 200k each so that would only make them 5 times as much.
