That might be true for you, but by the time I was 13 I had already owned Snes, genesis, NES, PS1 and gameboy. 2 of them I bought with allowance money of 5$ a week.

By 14 I even knew about BluRay and the ps3. The only console that was ever bought for me without my knowledge or consent was the NES, on my 6th birthday. I still remember the smell.

Yes, I agree that they most likely have a ps2 although could have xbox or 360. However, I bet it's either ps2 or a combination of two of them. In which case, I'm sure the 13 year old knows about metal gear solid, like I did when I was 13. What I mean to say is that I'm sure they have gotten attached to the ps brand. The controller, the games. I'm not saying your theory isn't plausible, but I've chosen mine because it's at the very least, slightly more possible.

Even if mine is only 51% possible compared to 49%, he did out talk a sale, and base a selling point on what is collectively seen as a "stereotype" of wii games. Plus, ps3 has a lot of kid's and family friendly games, plus cheap psn games. So I reserve the right to judge him :P

That may be true for you, but it is not the norm. Not everybody has that experiance, and this is the distinction you seem to be missing. You are assuming that all kids in the age bracket of this guy's kids have a knowlege of video games and have played them, this is simply not true.  This "steriotype" of Wii games is for the most part true. I implore you to talk to a Wii fan, there are some pretty hard core ones that are in the older age brackets who would disagree with you. The PS3 may have some kiddie games, but the Wii has the Wiimote, it has party games, it has Mario kart, it has a wide veriety of family oriented games.
