no, every metal gear solid had unique gameplay elements...granted there are a bunch of cutscenes but they are a means of explaining it's awesome story...this game redefined stealth action, from mgs1 to mgs4...so no, it's not just a movie with gameplay, or as some like to call it, an interactive movie...mgs is a full on game with a bunch of cutscenes
