Sixaxis controls were never all that relevant, and I think they will be just as used for future PS3 games as they have been in the past.

Some games made awesome use of it (Uncharted, Flower, Ratchet & Clank, Army of Two) and others have made bad use of it (Mirror's Edge, Uncharted) while some games could have made awesome use of it, but didn't (Dead Space, Resident Evil 5).

What?

I hate the balancing mini games. I have never seen a game do it right, not even Uncharted.

On the other hand, leaning back the controller to lean back Drake when you wanted to jump backwards was one of the best Sixaxis uses I have seen to date. Once you've tried it, you find that it works much better than the analog stick, and you're soon using the Sixaxis for this without even thinking about it. Now that indicates that it has been well implemented!
