Sixaxis controls were never all that relevant, and I think they will be just as used for future PS3 games as they have been in the past.

Some games made awesome use of it (Uncharted, Flower, Ratchet & Clank, Army of Two) and others have made bad use of it (Mirror's Edge, Uncharted) while some games could have made awesome use of it, but didn't (Dead Space, Resident Evil 5).
