Not only sales of Infamous was disappointing in the 1st week, it didn't bump sales of PS3 system such as Metal Gear Solid 4 or Killzone 2.  I think most of the blame for poor sales of the PS3 system isn't even the price.  The commercials for PS3 are awful not you don't see much of them either.  The commercials are poorly targeted.

Also, I haven't seen one commercial for Infamous on TV yet.  Where is the push for PS3 exclusive games on TV?

Any thoughts?

I saw multiple ads for Infamous on TV, and I don't watch much TV at all.  Why did you think that inFAMOUS would end up being a game changer as far as sales go?  I don't see it.  It is a brilliant game, worth getting if you want a superhero sandbox game on the PS3 (or a PS3 alternative to Crackdown).  But beyond this, why would you expect it to do much?  The game should have legs.  But it is a new IP, and isn't expected to make that much of a difference.  It also doesn't have multiplayer (though the Uncharted 2 multiplayer is worth picking up).  inFAMOUS just isn't a game one buys a PS3 for alone to play.  It isn't that type of game.

Anyhow, it would be wise for people to stop with this "gamechanger" mentality with every single good to GREAT PS3 exclusive title.  It is good to be happy you are getting good stuff, but stop expecting the stuff to sell like gangbusters and cause people to buy the PS3 over the 360 or Wii.
