There seem to be mixed opinions regarding some of the new parts of the site. In an attempt to quickly and efficiently figure out what to keep and what to change, here are some simple yes / no points I'd like people to answer

1) Do you like the horizontal main menu?

2) Would you prefer the sub-menus to be activated on hover?

3) Do you like the new rich text editor? If no, then is it the idea of a rich text editor in general or this particular implementation?

4) Do you like the idea of a news system where only the most popular stories are shown on the front page?

5) Do you like popularity to be measured by "votes" or simply by page impressions?

6) Do you like the rich text for news stories (embed videos, flash files, edit layout and colours) or just simple text news stories?

Simple answers to each so we can effectively "vote" and I can make some changes. Any other comments / suggestions also welcome in here

1) I like it.

2) On click is fine, on hover would be a little messy since there's a delay while it loads the images.

3) This particular rich text editor is annoying.  Most of it works pretty well, but the way it handles quotes is just awful, leading to massive quote pyramids and empty quote blocks since people haven't figured out how to delete the table yet.  The way it encapsulates quotes in a table is where the problem lies.  Also it's inconsistent about inserting spaces in front of paragraphs, and backspace often removes multiple characters.

4) All recent news should be shown on the front page whether it is popular or not.

5) Page impressions.  I'm not going to take the time to vote on every bit.

6) Rich text is fine.  Make your news stand out.
